On 23 November 2024, ANANDJIRA marked its 18th anniversary, celebrating almost two decades of dedication to strengthening communities, promoting human rights and supporting vulnerable people.
The highlight of the celebration was the opening of the ATSC and Listening Corner, an innovative space for welcoming, counselling and psychosocial support. It was designed to give communities, especially children, adolescents and young people, a safe and welcoming place where they can receive guidance, emotional support and educational help, promoting well-being and active participation in society.
The project was funded by the Egmont Trust, complemented by the Association's own resources generated through its sustainability policies. This combination of funding reflects ANANDJIRA's commitment to ensuring the continuity and effectiveness of its initiatives, delivering lasting solutions tailored to community needs.
During the celebration, members, partners and beneficiaries were able to visit the new space, join in recreational and educational activities, and reflect on the Association's journey, its impact and its achievements over the years. The event was also an opportunity to recognise the dedication of staff and volunteers, reinforcing the spirit of collaboration that defines ANANDJIRA.
As it turns 18, ANANDJIRA reaffirms its commitment to sustainable development, community strengthening and building a fairer, more inclusive and more resilient society.
